Planning Poker (Scrum Poker) is a collaborative way for teams to estimate the size or effort of work. Each person privately selects a card; all cards are revealed together to avoid anchoring bias. Differences spark discussion until the team reaches a shared understanding.
Decks often follow a Fibonacci-like scale (1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13β¦), t-shirt sizes or hours. Bigger values indicate more effort, complexity, or uncertainty.
